Hilton Worldwide’s Tapestry Collection made its first foray into South America with the launch of a 138-room program, which has its own bowling alley, in Greater São Paulo.

An elegant hotel on the outskirts of South America’s largest city has become the latest addition to the ranks of Hilton Worldwide.

Tapestry Collection sets up in South America

Hotel Almenat, a member of the fast-growing Tapestry Collection, is a 138-key property located 21 miles from the heart of São Paulo. Holidaymakers in particular will undoubtedly appreciate its location close to Embu das Artes, a picturesque Jesuit town dating back to 1554.

“We are delighted to continue our growth throughout Latin America with the opening of the Almenat Hotel, our first Tapestry by Hilton collection in Brazil,” said Jorge Giannattasio, Hilton Senior Vice President and COO for the Caribbean and Latin America. “Brazil remains a priority in the regional expansion of our business and we look forward to further expanding our portfolio in the market with the upcoming arrival of eight hotels over the next four years.

Retro chic in the jungle

The Almenat Hotel is surrounded by the Amazon rainforest, and the hotel’s interiors reflect the characteristic Brazilian style, mixing retro silhouettes with colorful shapes and natural materials. The artisanal tradition of Embu das Artes is also found in the design of the hotel, which promotes a relaxing atmosphere in public and private spaces.

The 138 rooms of the establishment benefit from a carefully studied decoration which complements the natural environment. There is a state-of-the-art gym, tennis court, soccer fields, multi-purpose field, a selection of indoor and outdoor pools and a forest walking trail, as well as an eight-lane bowling alley.

Meanwhile, Embu and Japi restaurants offer local and international fare, while the Lobby Market serves patrons looking to refuel on the go. Business travelers are also well catered for, with the property offering no less than 22 flexible meeting rooms.
