Take out your bathing suits. Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels kicks off its 43rd season of operation by reopening on Friday, April 15. For the 2022 season, the 70-acre water park has invested more than $4.5 million in upgrades and improvements, according to a company press release.

Building on its improvements, the water park has renovated one of the park‘s most popular areas, the lagoon activity pool. Additionally, the company has improved park amenities for guests, such as the addition of shade structures, upgrades to its resort, and a new B&B Barbecue truck that will serve slow-smoked barbecue, including brisket. beef and pulled pork.

The company updated the exteriors of the building with a fresh coat of paint and landscaping, as well as furniture. Customers can also now bypass ticket offices with their season pass or prepaid tickets, and buses have been added to the shuttle fleet.

“For more than 40 years, Schlitterbahn has taken pride in the experience our customers have when they visit us,” said Darren Hill, vice president and general manager of Schlitterbahn, New Braunfels, in the release. “This season, we’re building on that experience with more shade, new dining options and significant upgrades to iconic attractions.”

The operating schedule for the 2022 season can be viewed on the water park’s website. Customers can experience the fun and thrills all season long with a 2022 Season Pass that includes unlimited visits, exclusive discounts and pays for itself in less than two visits.
