“I love that Detroit is going through something really positive,” said Yvette Jenkins, owner of Love Travel Imports.

Jenkins is one of the small business vendors at Motor City Crawl, she and the attendees we spoke with are excited to see cars driving downtown for the very first time. Although the organizers say, the event does not replace the North American International Auto Show.
“We believe there is a portion of the Motor City Car Crawl that will be part of the actual official Auto Show next year,” said Eric Larson, CEO of the Downtown Detroit Partnership.
Larson says this event is a test of how the auto show will be moved into the summer. Of course, due to the pandemic, the 2020 auto show has been canceled, but he says this event which is spread across six downtown parks provides a safer environment.
New vehicles from Metro Detroit dealerships will be showcased in Beacon Park, Cadillac Square, Campus Martius, Capitol Park, Grand Circus Park and Spirit Plaza.
Nine-time Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and singer Sheryl Crow will headline the Motor City Car Crawl charity gala at Campus Martius on Saturday, August 7. The event benefits nine Detroit Children’s Charities.
