Midlothian asks community for input on future parks and recreation areas

Midlothian Dog Park is one of 14 parks maintained by the City of Midlothian. Feedback on future park needs is now being solicited through an online community survey.

Phase 2 Community Park Game Day Groundbreaking Celebration March 26

Midlothian recently completed and opened phase 2 of the community park. On March 26, the city celebrates the grand opening of the new Community Park Phase 2 starting at 3 p.m. Bring the family and try out all the park amenities, enjoy refreshments and catch a concert. Plan to move and try out the new pickleball courts, play wiffleball with neighbors, show off your volleyball skills on the sand courts, or make new friends on the playground.

At 6 p.m., the park’s new amphitheater will be dedicated to the memory of the late city councilor Art Pierard, followed by a family concert and fireworks.

Currently, Midlothian offers 14 beautiful parks and a variety of sporting facilities. Of course, as the town continues to grow and facilities age, Midlothian recognizes the need to plan for the future.

The City of Midlothian is inviting anyone interested in the future of the city’s parks to take part in an online community survey which is now live.

Participate in the park survey and provide feedback

The purpose of the survey is to obtain community feedback on future parks and recreation spaces, programs and facilities. The survey is one of many methods used to obtain community feedback in Midlothian ParkVision, a general parks planning effort.

To complete the survey, which is completely confidential, go to https://polco.us/parkvision2022.
