Affordable Spring Dating Ideas

The weather is finally rising and we have officially entered spring. The flowers are growing. Avril is showering. There is nothing better than this wonderful weather mixed with a little love.

Sometimes it seems the romantic side of dating has come to an end. It seems that privacy has become non-existent with all the vulgar content readily available. Nowadays, it seems that respect has waned.

However, I have learned that sometimes, because of the generation we live in, we forget how to really date. We go to dinner and play on our phones. We text instead of calling. We are cooling down instead of living.

Well, this is the season to be intentional. No more poor conversations and connections. It’s time to go out and have some fun with it.

If you’re a person strapped for dating ideas, I’ve got you covered. I’ve put together a list of inexpensive dates that can make your relationship stronger this spring.

  1. Go to the park

Alright, so what are you an adult. Let the inner child come out while having a good conversation. Play on the swings or even the monkey bars. Enjoy.

2. Exercise outdoors

Find a nice place, like a park or the lake, and sweat it out. Exercise together. Stretch together. Feel good while holding each other accountable.

3. Go for a walk or drive

The scenery is everything! Take advantage of the good weather. Enjoy the breeze. Enjoy the little things.

4. Have a picnic

Yes. Picnics are always one of the most romantic date choices. Take some food. Take a blanket. Make a palette. Don’t forget the bluetooth speaker.

5. Attend a baseball or basketball game

It doesn’t matter if it’s a professional league or a high school game. Have fun and root for your favorite moment.

6. Volunteer together

There is something magical about giving / serving together. You will feel amazing and it builds great character.

7. Travel

Okay, it might be a bit more expensive than the others, but traveling does something for the soul. Even if it’s just about driving in a nearby town, go exploring. Make memories.

8. Visit the zoo or a museum

Discover animals or beautiful works of art. Walk together. Hold hands. Take breaks. Converse.

9. Rent a boat

Boat rentals are more affordable than you might think. Pick a day and plan it. Have wine or champagne. Plan a playlist. Create a mood and go for it.

10. Attend a cool event

Whether it’s a live band, a stand-up comedy, a movie preview, or a poetic slam, go for it! Check it out. Take advantage of the energy. Take advantage of the talent. Have fun.
